About Us

Yolanda is an engaging, funny, intelligent and dynamic inspirational speaker and trainer. Yolanda inspires with personal stories and anecdotes from daily life that resonate with all audiences. She “calls it like it is” in a way that opens up listeners to the lessons of change. Her presentations emphasize stress management, emotional intelligence and valuing diversity.

Yolanda began speaking professionally after years of supervising at a nonprofit organization whose mission was to serve severely emotionally disturbed children and their families. It was there that she learned first-hand how important it is to take care of ourselves, to be open to human differences and to manage our emotions if we are to be peak performers at work. Yolanda inspires us to commit to life-changing practices that empower us individually, enrich, our organizations, and improve our service to others.

Yolanda Fairell Pourciau, M.S. has earned a Master’s Degree in Sociology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She has taught sociology for many years including the courses: The Sociology of Work, The Culture of Human Organizations, Race and Ethnic Relations, Structured Inequalities in the U.S., and Social Problems. Yolanda was trained to meditate in the tradition of Shambhala. She has completed several meditation levels in that tradition and a seven day silent meditation and mindfulness retreat.
